Brandon R. Calton, Esq. is a Litigation Associate at the Law Offices of Samuel A. Before joining the firm, attorney Calton was a Trial Attorney with the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services in New Bedford, where he carried a full docket of misdemeanor and felony matters from arraignment through disposition. He drafted and argued motions raising constitutional, evidentiary, and procedural issues, conducted his own factual investigations and witness interviews, and represented clients at detention hearings, probation hearings, and bench trials. He has also practiced civil litigation in Massachusetts state and federal court at The Royal Law Firm in Springfield.

He is a 2023 graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law, where he was a member of the Honors Program, served as Secretary of the LGBTQ+ Alliance, and represented clients through the school’s Criminal Defense Clinic as a Rule 9 student attorney. His article on state legislation restricting gender-affirming care for minors was published in the Roger Williams University Law Review. He received his B.A. in Government from St. Lawrence University in 2020.
Attorney Calton is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and before the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts and the District of Connecticut. He serves on the Solo/Small Firm Law Practice Management Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association and on the New Lawyers Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Rhode Island Bar Association, and is a member of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association.
