On December 9, 2025, attorney Samuel A. Segal attended the annual State of the Judiciary Address by Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd.  The event was sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association, and President Michael Hayden moderated the panel which also featured Court Administrator Thomas G. Ambrosino.

The Trial Courts of Massachusetts serve both civil and criminal cases in the state, and they remain focused on delivering fair and efficient access to justice to everyone in the Commonwealth.  Some of the main concerns of the Trial Court surround funding, which continues to lag behind what is needed to maintain adequate staffing levels, as well as technology and safety upgrades, across the 94 courthouses in Massachusetts.

Attorney Sam Segal remains committed with his fellow executives at the Massachusetts Bar Association to working with Chief Justice Budd, Court Administrator Thomas Ambrosino, and the State Legislature to fight for full funding for the trial courts in the Commonwealth to ensure access to justice for all.

On December 10, 2025, attorney Sam Segal also attended the Massachusetts Bar Association’s annual holiday party which also collected toy donations for the annual Christmas in the City charity event. Christmas in the City provides a free and fun holiday event for Boston's families in need, where kids can meet Santa Clause, play, and select from new unwrapped gifts. Attorney Segal has volunteered numerous times at Christmas in the City over the years helping children in need have the best holiday possible.
