Law Day of Action 2026

On May 1, 2026, attorneys from across Massachusetts gathered in the Boston Common to re-take their oaths to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Law Day of Action was part of a national effort by the Nation of Laws Coalition with events in over 70 cities across the country. Hosted by president-elect Samuel A. Segal of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the event featured speeches by the Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court Allison Cartwright; former Chief Judge of the Massachusetts District Court Mark L. Wolf; and the presidents/chairs of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and the LGBTQ Bar Association.

The event was a spectacular success, and we remain proud to be a part of this national effort to support the free and fair Rule of Law in the United States. All persons should have equal access to justice, and we will continue to work every day until they do.
