Winter Community Service at Segal Law
It’s been a busy winter for the Law Offices of Samuel A. Segal! We have spent the season committed to getting our clients the best recoveries possible for their injuries while dedicating time to community service.
On January 26, 2024, attorney Samuel Segal volunteered as a judge for the annual Massachusetts Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial program. Getting to sit "on the bench" at Boston District Court, attorney Segal served as the judge and referee for the two high school teams, who both did an incredible job fulfilling their roles as lawyers and witnesses presenting a fictional criminal case. As a former mock trial participant in high school himself, attorney Segal has a particular fondness for the Mock Trial program and know that it helps shape the next generation of great legal minds.
Serving in his capacity as Chair of the the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Trial Practice Section's Committee on Outreach to Young Lawyers, attorney Samuel Segal hosted a networking event for attorneys in ABA TIPS attorneys and the Young Lawyers Division at the ABA's midyear meeting in Louisville, KY on February 2, 2024. The event was a fantastic success, including the participation of dozens of attorneys and both the Chair of TIPS, Loren Podwill, and YLD, Tamara Nash, and it would not have been possible without the support of ABA TIPS!
Not finished yet, on February 7, 2024, attorney Sam Segal volunteered for the Massachusetts Bar Association's monthly dial-a-lawyer program. This program allows the public to call in to volunteer attorneys at the Mass Bar who will do their best to provide guidance, make referrals, and answer basic legal questions. Attorney Segal is a regular volunteer with the program and looks forward to continuing to do so.
Finally, on February 15, 2024, attorney Sam Segal participated in the 2024 Lawyers Have Heart Kickoff event at Suffolk Law School. Attorney Segal is a regular runner in the annual Lawyers Have Heart 5K, which raises money for the American Heart Association, and he looks forward to continue running for a good cause. Physical, mental, and emotional well-being is a critical issue, and attorney Segal remains committed to removing stigma and raising money and awareness for these great causes.
